Police Searching for Assault Suspects in Overnight Beatings

A search is underway for four men accused of brutally beating two men.

Police are investigating an assault on two people in North Lubbock. Police found a 40-year-old man lying unconscious outside of the Westford Apartments at 5434 40th around 2:30 a.m. Thursday. He had apparently been hit with a bottle. EMS took the man to University Medical Center with a large cut on his head.

Then, 30 minutes later, police received a call about another man lying outside of the apartments at 5437 Brownfield Road. When they arrived the man got up and ran. Police found him a few minutes later at a home in the 54-hundred block of 39th. He was taken to UMC with minor injuries. Investigators say both men were assaulted at the Westford Apartments.

Investigators now know four black men apparently kicked the door in of the men's apartment and beat them.
