A little bit can go a long way, that is the finding of a new study on the impact of exercise on high blood pressure. Researchers followed more than 2,000 men and women and found that something as simple as taking a daily walk around the block helped prevent high blood pressure or reduced the need for medicine in some who had Hypertension.
The problem, itis estimated that 20% to 30% of adult Americans are not physically active and about 25% have Hypertension. The bottom line from this study is that exercise is a simple and inexpensive way to treat or even prevent high blood pressure.
The study is published in the Annals of Internal Medicine.
