Jury Seated for Man Accused of Dragging Lubbock Deputy

A jury is seated for a Lubbock man accused of dragging a Lubbock Sheriff Deputy with a car.

It happened as deputies tried to serve two felony warrants to Michael Lee Cunningham on January 25, 2007. They say he tried to flee in a stolen vehicle, dragging Deputy Mark Lunsford with the car. Lunsford suffered minor injuries.

Authorities arrested Cunningham the following day, at Elkhart and 19th Street outside of the Lone Wolf Express. He is now charged with two counts of felony theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, evading arrest and aggravated assault of an officer.

Testimony is scheduled to begin on Tuesday.
