Codes Field Exercise Scheduled for NE Lubbock Neighborhood

A Codes Field Exercise will be conducted in the Clayton Carter, Sky View and MeadowBrook Villa neighborhoods on November 1, 2007.

The Code Administration Section of the Lubbock Police Department will be conducting an intensive neighborhood inspection of these neighborhoods on Thursday, November 1, 2007, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. 

Code Inspectors will be working in the area bordered by Regis Avenue to East Erskine Avenue, Interstate-27 to Martin Luther King Boulevard.  Solid Waste will provide a container for citizens to dispose of their bulky items at 510 East Regis Avenue until 4:00 p.m.

The object of this exercise will be to identify violations relating to Junked Vehicles, Public Nuisance, Weeds and Rubbish, Substandard Housing, and Zoning violations.  Code Administration Inspectors will be talking to the public to provide education regarding these types of violations, citing violations, and possibly abating violations during this exercise.
