Stolen Bases Scores Free Taco Bell for America

Free tacos for all, and you have Red Sox rookie center-fielder Jacboy Ellsbury to thank. Ellsbury's stolen second-base didn't even draw a throw, but Americans nationwide, Red Sox fans or not, were cheering for him: Their chance at free tacos hinged on his success.

As part of its "Steal A Base, Steal A Taco" MLB World Series promotion, Taco Bell promised to serve up millions of free Seasoned Beef Crunchy Tacos in return for stolen bases. So, thanks to Ellsbury, the giveaway takes place today at stores nationwide, between 2:00 p.m. and 5 p.m.

This World Series promotion marks the biggest taco giveaway in the company's history. As the official quick-service restaurant of MLB, the compaby is famously remembered for its "Free Taco Targets" which it has previously placed at the world series.

So, baseball and taco fans alike can get their free taco by simply visiting a participating Taco Bell Restaurant Tuesday between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.. No purchase is required; one taco per customer.
