The Dallas Cowboys have signed quarterback Tony Romo to a six-year, more than 67 million dollar contract.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones today said: "the promise is the future."
Romo, who's won 12 of his first 17 starts, says it's a "neat thing" going on his life right now. Romo says he's really excited to be with the Cowboys for a long time - and the opportunity to do something really special. Romo also thanked Jones and his family, and others who've helped him reach the position of being the quarterback of the Cowboys.
Coach Wade Phillips says Romo has a lot of talent, but he's also a great person. Phillips says Romo doesn't have an ego that's bigger than the team.
The 6-1 Cowboys on Sunday will visit 3-4 Philadelphia.
