He forced himself on a Lubbock woman in broad daylight.  The female victim helped police develop a sketch. Now, investigators hope you can lead them to a person matching the description.

"It's very uncommon, especially when she apparently doesn't know the suspect and this happens in broad daylight," Lubbock Police Lieutenant Scott Hudgens said.

The female victim works at 42nd and Avenue Q. She says she left work around 12:30 p.m. on October 9th.

"She was getting into her car; a suspect approached the passenger side of her car and knocked on the glass with a black pistol. He got in the car and he forced her to drive away," Hudgens said.

The victim says the suspect made her drive around before he brought her to the softball fields at Mackenzie Park, where he sexually assaulted her and then walked away.

"At this point we have no indication that she knew him, and it appeared to be a stranger," Hudgens said.

Lubbock Police urge everyone to be alert.

"Anytime something like this happens, we hope the public takes note of it and takes the appropriate precautions, be aware of your surroundings," Hudgens

The suspect is a white man with a shaved head. He has blonde eyebrows and blue eyes. He is between 35 and 45 years old, with a slender build, and weighs between 150 and 175 pounds.

If you can help police identify this man, call Crime Line at (806) 741-1000. You do not have to give your name.
