At least two alleged major alleged drug traffickers and a large amount of cocaine are now off Lubbock streets.
Just before 1 p.m. Wednesday, the Texas Department of Public Safety, Lubbock Police, and SWAT officers made an arrest at the Windmill Plaza in the 5800 block of 19th Street. NewsChannel 11 has confirmed that at least two men were taken into custody. DPS tells NewsChannel 11 that they had been watching these men for several months.
Authorities seized about 20 ounces of cocaine, with a street value estimated to be worth $56,000. Both men are now charged with possession of a controlled substance.
The felony charge carries ten to 99 years or life in prison, and up to a $100,000 fine.
