Moving Oklahoma State-Texas Tech Game to Arlington Still on Table

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says he's "very much interested" in having his new stadium host the annual Oklahoma State/Texas Tech game.

The one billion dollar new home for the Cowboys opens in 2009 in Arlington. Jones made the comments today in Oklahoma City. He was on hand to promote a high-definition announcement involving Cox Communications and the NFL Network.

Jones says he's visited with officials from both Big 12 schools in recent months to encourage them to move their football game to Arlington.

Jones also said he continues to be interested in luring the annual Oklahoma-Texas game away from the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. Those two teams have agreed to continue playing the game at the Cotton Bowl through 2015.

The new Cowboys stadium will host the 2011 Super Bowl.
