Area Students Participate in Math Competition - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Junior high and high school students plus equations equal Texas Tech's Third Annual Math Competition.

The competition was held all day at Holden Hall on the Tech campus. The engineering design challenge was the highlight of Saturday's event.

Teams of five students had to apply math and science skills to solve a real world problem in less than two hours. Students were evaluated on the creativity and execution of their design as well as the success of their solution.
