Hale County Authorities Investigate Shooting, Two Injured

NewsChannel 11 has learned Hale County authorities are searching for suspects involved in a shooting that injured two men around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. It happened along I-27, north of the Excel plant.

The suspects were last seen in a red Dodge crew cab pickup, headed eastbound on FM 788. Authorities believe as many as six Hispanic men were in that truck.

Both victims were brought to lubbock for treatment. One is still hospitalized, but the other has since been released. Their names are not yet available.  

Authorities say the suspect is armed with a gun and considered dangerous.
