Tightening oil reserves, rising tensions in the Middle East and trade speculation are driving up crude and home heating oil prices. A barrel of crude is nearing 100 dollars, and those prices are now starting to play out at the pump.
For the first time since July, the national average for regular gasoline hit three dollars a gallon, and could go even higher.
In Lubbock, prices Monday afternoon ranged from $2.89 to $2.99 per gallon of regular unleaded.
