Bank Robbery Downtown, Suspect Arrested


Lubbock Police are at the scene of a lunchtime back robbery downtown.

Authorities say the suspect approached a teller around 11:45 a.m. and demanded cash.

He is described as a white man, about five feet six inches tall. He was last seen wearing a black cap, gray Dallas Cowboy hoodie, and blue jeans. Witnesses say he left the bank on foot, walking east.

Minutes later, Lubbock Police spotted a suspect fitting the description at 16th and Avenue O. He was stopped and taken into custody.

According to Lt. Greg Stevens, it is not immediately clear if the suspect had a gun.
