The Lubbock Health Department just gave its last adult flu shot Friday. Meaning, they have just given the last of the 1,700 doses they ordered for this season.
They do still have flu vaccines for kids, just not adults. There is not a shortage of shots. If you still need a flu shot, try your neighborhood pharmacy or supermarket. Many are offering regular flu shot clinics.
The CDC says normally we would be seeing widespread flu in some areas of the country by now, but so far, nothing like that. Here in Lubbock, the health department says there have been no flu cases reported yet.
