A Levelland family is making funeral arrangements for a loved one killed while working near Sundown.
Johan Schmitt, 32, was electrocuted Wednesday, while working on an irrigation well unit. The crew was bringing the tower down, when the wind pushed it into a power line. Schmitt's hands were on the controls, as the bolt of electricity travelled down the tower and through the truck. He died at the scene.
Schmitt was married with children. A memorial fund has been set up to help with them with expenses.
