Lubbock Native Announces Candidacy For State Office

A Lubbock native is kicking off his year-long campaign right here at home.

Thursday, Art Hall announced his candidacy for Texas Railroad Commissioner. The Lubbock High and Harvard University graduate says he hopes to become the first democrat to hold the position since 1994.

He says, "No matter what we are in Lubbock County, deomocrat or republican, this is the city that shaped my values and my ethics and work value and there are issues that go beyond partisan."
