Gas prices fell slightly overnight for the first time in weeks, raising doubts about a view that pump prices are destined to rise in coming weeks to catch up with skyrocketing crude prices.

In Lubbock Friday, gas stations ranged between $2.98 and $3.06 per gallon of regular unleaded.
