Lubbock Man Killed in Industrial Accident - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A Lubbock man is dead , after an industrial accident in north Lubbock Sunday afternoon. It happened at Diamond Plastics around 3:30 p.m.

The Nebraska based company makes PVC and other kinds of piping.

Police say, an equipment malfunction and high pressure blast sent one of those pipes careening into Alcario Garcia, 63. He was pronounced dead at University Medical Center.

The cause of the accident is now under investigation.
