Inmate Mistakenly Released From Jail

Lubbock County Sheriff's deputies are searching for an inmate that was accidentally released from jail. Authorities say Joseph Luis Gonzales was mistakenly released from the Lubbock County Jail around 9:30 p.m. Monday.

Gonzales is about 5 feet 9 inches and weighs 160 pounds. He has multiple tattoos including a cross on his right wrist, a cross on left hand, "Gonzales" on his left arm, "JG" on his right arm, and "S.M. & dots on his left arm.

He was being held on multiple charges including; aggravated assault of a public servant, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and evading arrest. Anyone with information on Gonzales' whereabouts is asked to call the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office at 775-1601.
