An inmate that was jailed in Amarillo is on the loose.

The Randall County Sheriff's office tells us David Anthony Myrie escaped while he was working in the jail kitchen around 7 p.m. Tuesday. Myrie was being held on federal charges of illegal re-entry into the United States.

Myrie is a 31-year-old black man. He is 6'1, 215 pounds and has a heavy Jamaican accent.

If you have information on Myrie's whereabouts, you're urged to call 911 or the Randall County Sheriff's Office. That number is (806) 468-5751.
