Joseph Luis Gonzales was being held on charges stemming from a police chase in February. Human error led to his release on Monday.
Since then authorities have been following leads, and checking the addresses of just about everyone he knows.
"We anticipated he'd be in Idalou, but a family member moved him to another house here in Lubbock," said Lubbock Sheriff David Gutierrez. "And he was arrested around 15th & Avenue M, here in Lubbock."
Right now, Gutierrez is not certain if any additional charges will be filed against Gonzales. He said this investigation is far from over.
