Apple Tree Cafe and Bakery made hundreds of apples pies and apple cakes this Thanksgiving.
Owner Brant Daniel says, "We were very busy this Thanksgiving, a lot busier than last year. It's been a great Thanksgiving and we're looking forward to Christmas." Daniel says the key to getting pies from their clean kitchen to your tables is by ordering them early.
Apple Tree Cafe and Bakery at 3201 50th is a Food For Thought top performer. Daniel says, "We have a conscientious staff and they're on top of making sure everything is safe and in perfect condition."
If you shopped at United to do the cooking yourself, we have good news. The bakery, coffee shop and meat and fish departments inside the United at 82nd and Frankford are all top performers.
If you're tired of turkey, head over to America's favorite drive-in for a burger. Sonic at 1901 34th is tops this week along with Jumbo Joe's Number 2 at 3218 34th. Both were perfect in their last health inspections.
It's not only a popular night spot, the restaurant inside Rocky Larue's at 2420 Broadway is a top performer.
Rounding out perfection this week is Starbucks at 801 University.

Our only low performer is inside the South Plains Mall. Villa Pizza at 6002 Slide had six critical violations.
Cold foods including mozzarella and raw hamburger were holding at 53 degrees. Cold foods must be 41 to 45 degrees.
There were two cross-contamination violations.
Tongs were in the ziti in the walk-in cooler and a scoop with handle was in the parmesan.
Foods were not properly date-marked.
The report says quote "not date marking anything."
A clear blue liquid was not labeled.
The restaurant does not have a certified food manager.
A knife in the rack box was soiled.
The manager said everything was corrected during the inspection. The report shows all violations were corrected during the inspection except for the certified food manager. That must be taken care of by December 12th.
