Southwest Lubbock Collision Appears Intentional

An investigation is underway into an accident in southwest Lubbock and it now appears the man didn't want his wife to leave him.

Police say the driver of a black car plowed into a U Haul truck around 11:15 p.m. Monday in the 5800 block of 96th Street, seriously injuring himself.

The man reportedly came home areound 11:45 p.m. Tuesday night to find his wife moving out. He now faces aggravated assault charges.

The drivers of both vehicle were taken to UMC with moderate injuries.
