Kid Stuff & Toyland Express Roll into Science Spectrum

Posted:

Calling all kids, young and old! Take a spin through Kid Stuff, an exhibition filled with the games and gadgets that have inspired childhood play and imagination for decades.

All the classics are here, from Tonkas and Tinkertoys, to Colorforms and Cooties, to Raggedy Anns and Radio Flyers.  Along with more than 200 vintage toys to see, there are nifty things to do. Get ready to throw Nerf balls at priceless crystal, have your picture take with a life-sized Barbie or G.I. Joe, dress Mr. Potato Head - and Carrot and Eggplant Head - and have much, much more toy fun that you've ever had before.

Experience toys that call forth your own childhood as well as those of your children. While the exhibit's focus is toys, it is definitely not only for kids. The intergenerational appeal is the exhibit's strong point - the interaction occurs as children and adults share memories and experiences.

And start a new family holiday tradition with the unique new Toyland Express exhibit.  Enjoy model railroad displays provided by the Lubbock Model Railroad Association, antique and collectible holiday toys from local collectors, as well as special Christmas and Santa displays that will have grandparents and children alike excited about the Holiday Season!
