Lubbock Businessman to Seek County Commissioner Seat

Monday was the first day candidates for state office could file their paperwork in the 2008 election.

John Miller, a Lubbock business man, announced his intent to seek the Lubbock County Commissioner seat in Precinct One. Miller, a retired Lieutenant Colonel, will be running as a democrat.

"People of Lubbock can re-elect, and keep what they got knowingly. Or they can make a decision to make a change," said Miller. "Whether in the City Hall or in the County Courthouse."

NewsChannel 11 spoke with the current County Commissioner for Precinct One, Bill McCay. He says he will seek reelection.
