Two award winning Lubbock high school marching bands will march in the third annual miracles Christmas parade Saturday, December 8, 2007.
The Coronado Mustang and Monterey Plainsmen marching bands are set to thrill the anticipated 38,000 spectators along the 2.4 mile parade route.
"This is a great opportunity for our kids to showcase their talent and to participate in a fun event," said Mac Bibb, Director of the Coronado band. "This is our third year to participate and the kids really love the parade".
The Western Little League All Stars will serve as grand marshalls of the parade and will lead an impressive group of entrees that includes various youth groups, singing and dancing troups, fire trucks and brightly lit floats. Each float must have a minimum of 1,000 lights.
The parade steps off at 6:00 p.m. from 34th and Toledo and will travel east to University Avenue.
