A Lubbock mother who allegedly miscarried, and then stored the fetus in a refrigerator, now faces seven counts of child endangerment.

The Lubbock County Criminal District Attorney's Office filed those charges Wednesday afternoon, after authorities removed seven children from the home in July.

Gloria Ramirez, 26, told police she was four months pregnant when she miscarried. Ramirez allegedly kept the fetus in a plastic baby wipes box, and contacted a local funeral home to ask about a casket. The funeral home then called police. When investigators checked on the family, they found the seven children living in disgusting conditions.

Police arrested the children's father, Anthony Moya, in July. He is also charged with seven counts of child endangerment.

The children remain in foster care.
