Wrecks Cause Traffic Jam On South Loop 289

Wrecks brought traffic to a standstill on South Loop 289 Wednesday night.

Just after 7 p.m., a truck slammed into the guardrail on the overpass near Quaker. That accident came just minutes after another wreck on the other side of Loop 289, so for about 30 minutes traffic was stalled in both directions.

At least one person was taken to the hospital but the injuries were not considered life threatening.
