Firefighters Battle Grass Fires - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Smoke was rising from South Lubbock County Wednesday night.

Around 6 p.m. , firefighters were called to Woodrow Road and County Road 2100. That's where they found a large filed of grass on fire but they were able to knock it out quickly.

Three hours earlier, West Carlisle and Lubbock firefighters put out a different grass fire. That one was at the Lubbock Firing Range on West Highway 114.
