Weather A Factor in Fatal Garza County Accident

DPS troopers say weather was a factor in a fatal accident in Garza County.

DPS troopers say 51-year-old Carl Timothy Jones was killed after he crashed his 1994 BMW into the side of a tractor trailer around 7:15 Saturday night.

Authorities say the tractor trailer was attempting to cross US 84, 10 miles north of Post. Due to fog the driver was unable to see Jones who was traveling southbound on US 84. Jones' BMW got caught under the tractor trailer.

Authorities say he was pronounced dead on the scene.
