The Lubbock community proved they can share.
The 25th annual "U Can Share" food drive wrapped up Saturday night at the United store at 82nd and Frankford. And organizers say this year's drive was a success.
This year's goal was to raise 500,000 pounds of food enough to fill 12 18-wheelers and to raise $100,000.
The food drive exceeded the cash goal and raised a total of $105,000.
The drive fell just short of the food goal raising 450,000 pounds of food, but organizers say donations will be coming in until the end of the month.
