Lubbock police say a case of drunken road rage may have led to a vehicle tumbling off the highway.
It happened on I-27, near Buddy Holly Avenue, around 11:00 p.m. Tuesday. Police say Jimmy Lee Zavala, of Abernathy, was driving recklessly when he clipped a tractor trailer, and went over the guard rail.
Zavala, 22, was taken to the hospital, and then arrested on charges of DWI, and aggravated assault.
A female passenger was not seriously injured.
