Car Collides with Semi on Slaton Highway - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Police believe alcohol may have been a factor in a wreck around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday. It happened near the Chisum Travel Center on the Slaton highway.

Police say Martin Garcia Jr., of Slaton, drove his 1998 Pontiac Sunfire across the grass median, and collided with the semi, just as the rig was turning into Chisum.

Garcia, 30, was arrested on DWI charges.

No one was seriously injured.
