Electrical Short Blamed for Lubbock House Fire

The fire marshal's office say it appears an electrical short caused a house fire in the 2800 block of 37th Street.

Fire fighters arrived around 8:40 a.m. Friday, to find smoke billowing from the central Lubbock home.

The fire caused damage to the attic and at least one room. Investigators say the home had been under construction.
