Soldier With South Plains Ties Dies in Iraq

NewsChannel 11 has learned of tragic news for a Shallowater family.

Private First Class Brynn Naylor was killed in Iraq Thursday. Enemy forces attacked his unit in Baghdad with small arms fire.

The 21-year-old graduated from a high school in Roswell, New Mexico but had lived in Shallowater when he was younger. His mother still lives there.
