Family Planning Funeral For Area Soldier Killed Overseas

Funeral services are being planned for an area soldier killed while fighting overseas.

Private First Class Brynn Naylor was killed in Iraq Thursday after enemy forces attacked his unit in Baghdad with small arms fire.

The 21-year-old graduated from a high school in Roswell, New Mexico but had lived in Shallowater when he was younger. His mother still lives there.

A family spokesman says Naylor's body is expected to arrive in Lubbock within the next couple of days.

Naylor had served 15 months in Iraq and was to return home in time for Christmas.

The spokesman says for the Naylor family, Christmas now will be marked by the soldiers death.
