A Lubbock native is a finalist for Texan of the Year. The Dallas Morning News has named Bill Mullican as one of ten finalists for the honor.
Mullican is a Texas Tech graduate and the Deputy Executive Administrator of the Texas Water Development Board. His nomination will appear in the Dallas Morning News Wednesday and the selection will be announced December 30th.
Roy Velez, the father of two fallen Lubbock soldiers, received the Texan of the Year award in 2006.
