Flores To Run For Lubbock County Commissioner

Posted:

A former Lubbock County Commissioner is announcing his plan to step back in the political ring. Wednesday, Gilbert Flores announced his candidacy for Lubbock County Commissioner Precinct Three. Flores served as Lubbock County Commissioner for 12 years.

Flores says, "Community is why I'm here. I still feel a calling and I still want to serve you."

The seat is currently held by Ysidro Gutierrez who defeated Flores in 2004.  With Gutierrez seeking re-election, Flores will once again go head to head with him for next November's election.
