Pickup Collides with Utility Pole Overnight - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Alcohol may be to blame for a traffic accident in central Lubbock Thursday morning. Around 3:00 a.m., a pickup struck a light pole at 19th and Gary.

When police arrived, they found two people arguing over the wreck. Both were given sobriety tets.

Due to concerns about the Mercury vapor light at the top of the pole, crews from Lubbock Power and Light were called to assess the damage.
