Scooter Jordan went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI to lead Texas Tech to an 8 - 2 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Sunday. Jon Slack led off the game for the Red Raiders with a solo home run that went over the right field wall.
Texas Tech got three more runs in the inning on RBI singles by Gera Alvarez and Nick Blankenship and an RBI triple by Madison Edwards. Alvarez extended his hitting streak to 28 games, the second longest in school history.
Texas Tech extended its lead to 7 - 1 in the third when Jordan drove in a run on a triple to right center and then scored on a wild pitch by reliever Lance Kral. Dusty Buck allowed just four hits and two earned runs in six innings for the Red Raiders. Eric Martanovic took the loss for the Islanders after giving up five earned runs on nine hits.
