Here's something to make your wallet fill a little fatter this Christmas. Lubbock is one of the least expensive places to live in the nation. 

The Council for Community and Economic Research ranked Lubbock ninth on its top ten least expensive places to live list. The ranking is based on housing, utilities, groceries, transportation, health care and miscellaneous goods and services. 

The least expensive place to live is Joplin, Missouri and the most expensive is New York, NewYork.
