Name Changes for Residents Along Marsha Sharp Freeway - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

If you live or work along I-27 to Alcove Avenue, your street is about to change. Well, it's name is changing.

The city notified property owners they are part of the Marsha Sharp Freeway. The actual street numbers won't change, but owners have a 12-month transition for the name changeover.

In a letter sent on December 14th to property owners, the city said they could use their old and new addresses for a full year. After that the new address becomes permanent.

Police, fire and EMS were also notified of the change.
