Strawberries: A Cancer Blocker

Researchers say snacking on strawberries may reduce your risk of getting cancer.

Strawberries are what scientists call a super-food, because they're rich in antioxidants that some experts say might help to keep cancer cells from forming.

Researchers with the U.S. Department of Agriculture wanted to see if different species of wild strawberries had the same cancer fighting effect. It turns out the amount of antioxidants varied greatly in the different species, but they found several types of wild strawberries had the most potential to reduce cancer risk.
