A New Mexico woman was killed in a wreck in Yoakum County. It happened around one o'clock yesterday afternoon, on Highway 82, six miles west of Plains.
Rita Woodfield of Carlsbad traveled into the opposite bar ditch, and overcorrected. She was not ejected, but was pronounced dead at the scene. DPS authorities say accidents like this serve as a reminder to buckle up.
