The Big XII Conference released its 2002 Men's Golf Academic All-Big XII Team honoring 30 student-athletes for their academic achievements. 20 student-athletes received first team honors with 10 on the second team, including Tech's Mark Hull.
The 6' 0" junior was named to the All-Big XII second team, receiving his first academic honor as a Red Raider. Hull is a junior from San Antonio, Texas, with an undecided major in the Jerry S. Rawls College of Business.
To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher, either cumulative or the two previous semesters, and must have participated in 60% of the team's scheduled contests. First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.2 or better grade point average, while the second team are those who have a 3.0 to 3.19 GPA.
Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence.
