A Texas Tech football player who helped the Red Raiders nab their Gator Bowl victory is recovering from surgery Wednesday.
Texas Tech left tackle, Rylan Reed, suffered a broken ankle during the fourth quarter of Tuesday's game. NewsChannel 11 has learned that Reed had surgery Wednesday and will soon undergo rehab.
The Red Raiders went on to win thanks to Alex Trlica's 41 yard field goal, with 2 seconds left in the game. The final score: Red Raiders 31, Virginia Cavaliers 28.
