Jelly Vaccine For The Flu

Researchers at Texas A&M are working on a nasal vaccine for the flu that starts as a powder then turns into a jelly. Patients squirt the powder into the nose where it forms a jelly-like substance that clings to the inside of the nose and is then absorbed into the body.

Scientists say that it appears to be more effective for the vaccine to start in a powder form rather than a spray that can run like a runny nose. They plan to start testing the powder nasal spray on humans soon.
