Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A teenage motorcyclist was killed in a high speed collision early Sunday afternoon.

Lubbock Police say Sunday Mauricio Lopez, 19, was southbound on Slide at a high rate of speed, when he ran two red lights. He then collided head-on with a Trailblazer attempting to turn north from 73rd Street.

EMS took Lopez to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities say the accident is still under investigation.
