Lubbock Investigators Follow Leads in Four Year Old Murder

It was four years ago Monday, that an east Lubbock woman, known as "The Candy Lady," was found murdered in her home. That case remains unsolved.

Mary Davis, 78, was killed January 7, 2004 at her home at 2622 Globe. Lubbock police found her dead with multiple stab wounds to her chest. There was no sign of forced entry, and authorities believe she was robbed.

Police tell NewsChannel 11 that this is not a cold case, and they are actively following up on any leads that come in. Evidence was recently sent to a lab for analysis.

Davis was known as "The Candy Lady," because she sold candy out of her house to neighborhood children.
