The city is scheduled to review the performance of Lubbock's red light cameras, six months after their installation. A report on red light cameras will be presented before City Council on Thursday.
A three month report showed a decrease in red light runners at intersections with cameras, but also showed an increase in rear-end collisions. The council wants to see a full year's worth of statistics, before it decides whether or not to keep the cameras.
Right now, Lubbock has twelve red light cameras.
